Delhi: A novel

I have recently been reading Khushwant Singh’s historical novella DELHI and discovering his brilliance. Though KS would easily shock a prude with the candour of his exposition, his knowledge of the Capital city and its history is astounding. He has an easy style of writing. I would recommend this to anyone keen to know the turmoil Delhi underwent under successive invaders. Historical novels like this one and Sunil Ganguly’s SEI SAMAY are always informative and pleasure-able reading…
